Solution for DC and Server Rooms

In order to give the designer of the facility the greatest freedom, CONTEG has developed a comprehensive range of products and technologies including racks, cooling units, intelligent power and complementary accessories. CONTEG's range of high quality racks, frames and cable management products help to ensure that your equipment remains in a stable operating environment and your network cabling is adequately supported.

CONTEG works with industry leading companies and combine best practices with high quality infrastructure products to give you choice and flexibility for your facility design and cooling strategy. By adopting a modular approach we ensure that regardless of whether you choose full CONTEG deployment or just one part of our system, the flexibility and quality remains constant.

BASIC DATA CENTER ARRANGEMENTS

Following data center arrangements are supported by CONTEG Total Solutions:

Hot / Cold Aisle
The Hot / Cold Aisle approach is considered to be the "norm" for data center designs. Racks are aligned front to front and cold air is delivered using the raised floor as a cold air handling space (plenum).

Contained Cold Aisle
The contained aisle solution can be deployed where higher density loads are found to ensure that all available cooling air is directed to the cabinets. When facing this type of design challenge it makes sound engineering and financial sense to form a physical barrier between cold and warm air streams.

Plenum Feed with Room Return
The CONTEG Plenum Feed with Room Return solution optimises the use of cooled air by directing the cooled air directly from the raised floor to the equipment within the rack. A deflector located in the bottom of the rack directs the cold air to the front of the rack to be drawn through the equipment mounted inside.

Room Feed with Plenum Return
CONTEG's Hot Plenum Return Kit addresses this requirement by using a vertical "chimney" at the top rear of the rack directly connected to a hot plenum at ceiling height. A turning vane located at the bottom rear of the rack helps to optimise the flow of hot exhaust into the "flue", while the large surface area of the chimney ensures that large volumes of air can be passed at relatively low velocities.

Modular Side Closed Loop

Modular Side Closed Loop Architecture represents the ultimate in flexibility. High Density cooling units are combined with RDF racks to provide a "closed module" with a common cold zone at the front of the racks and a common hot zone at the rear of the racks.

Due to the fact, that above mentioned basic data center layouts can be combined, another special arrangements can be defined. CONTEG product managers are always ready to prepare for you a tailored solution, so the best parameters of the data center will be achieved.
