Datacenter and server room CFD modeling services
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling is a technical service designed to provide the detailed data to assess and track the temperature and air flow within your existing or proposed data center, server room or main equipment room.
Working with your design team the Conteg team of specialists will assist
in the space planning and layout, then model your project. The CFD model will
simulate the air flows, air pressures and temperature maps for your data center
or server room project. Guidance would be based on industry standards and best
practices advocated in TIA-942A, GreenGridTM and from the Up time InstituteTM.
Using 3D imaging the CFD application can run nominal and failure
scenarios for the data center or server room project, which display how the
design will perform under these varied conditions. Identifying potential hot
spots, optimizing air flows and right sizing the cooling system are a few of the
ways that the CFD simulations can assist your design team. The service includes
detailed reports, with graphics of the room conditions under each scenario,
details on the air flows, pressure and temperatures for the racks, floor tiles,
and at various elevations within the space. Runtime AVI simulations of the
dynamic responses of the scenarios can also be provided optionally. If necessary
recommendations for how the design might be optimized are another part of this
service.
